Pressure Tank Check for Treatment Systems in Santa Isabel, PR

Pressure Tank Check for Treatment Systems in Santa Isabel, PR

Well water treatment systems depend on steady pressure and flow. Backwashing filters need a set gpm for several minutes. A waterlogged pressure tank makes the pump short cycle, flow drops, and the filter never cleans itself. Santa Isabel, PR Well Water Treatment checks pressure tanks in Santa Isabel, PR as part of treatment installs and service.

What we test:

• Air precharge: with the pump off and the tank drained, precharge should sit about 2 psi below the pump cut-in. On a 40/60 switch, that is 38 psi
• Bladder condition: water at the air valve means a torn bladder
• Pressure switch: contacts, cut-in and cut-out settings
• Draw-down: how many gallons the tank delivers between cycles

If the tank is too small for a backwashing filter, the pump can run in short bursts the whole time. We may suggest a larger tank or a filter with a lower backwash rate.

This service is tied to your treatment equipment. We look at the tank to make sure filters, softeners and UV systems work as designed.
